22 Deaths Linked to Thunderstorms, Heat Wave in U.S., More Deaths Suspected

A deadly combination of severe thunderstorms and a heat wave have already killed at least 22 people in the U.S. The ongoing 2012 summer heat wave continues to be a killer. A search for "heat wave death" on Google News brings up new stories about yet more suspected deaths due to the extreme heat. Thousands of high temperature records have been set in the U.S. over the past week. The power outages from the monster Derecho that races from the Midwest to the Mid-Atlantic have made matters worse.
