28 Injured in Fireworks Accident in Simi Valley, California

The L.A. Times reports that 28 people were injured in an accidental detonation during a Fourth of July fireworks display in Simi Valley last night. People started running when fireworks exploded too close to the ground. The Times says most of the injures are burns or shrapnel-like injuries. There were about 10,000 people attending the fireworks.
