Heavy Surf Hits Bermuda 24 Hours Before Igor's Arrival

Hurricane Igor is a very large hurricane so its winds extend out for a long distance, as you can see in the image above from the National Hurricane Center. Hurricane Igor is already impacting Bermuda despite being 24 hours away from landfall. Heavy surf is impacting the island's south shore. The hurricane is expected to pass near or over Bermuda on Sunday. Take a look:
