Two Police Officers Shot in Ferguson

Two police officers were shot in Ferguson, Missouri. They were shot during protests in the city that came hours after the Ferguson police chief resigned after the Justice Department released a scathing report.

ABC News reports that St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar says it is lucky the police officers were not killed. The shots are thought to have come at a distance from the protests. ABC News says the shooter was about 150 feet away from the police officers that were shot. The shooter is still at large.

The shooting took place outside the Ferguson police department. Witness reported hearing multiple shots. One of the officers was hit in the face by a bullet. CNN says some protesters want the entire Ferguson police department to resign. Take a look:
